A tow truck driver was killed Thursday night when his loaded truck struck another vehicle in the breakdown lane of Interstate 495 and rolled over several times before striking a bridge abutment.
The accident happened about 10:15 p.m. on I-495 south at Route 25 in Wareham, State Police said.
The truck driver, 52-year-old Joseph Gaultier of Easton, was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the stopped vehicle, 55-year-old Stephanie Boosahda of Yarmouth, was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham with minor injuries.

BOSTON -- Police said a flatbed tow truck has crashed into a stalled vehicle on a highway in southeastern Massachusetts, killing one person. State police said the tow truck was carrying a vehicle Thursday night on Route 495 in Wareham when it struck another vehicle stopped in the southbound breakdown lane, rolled over several times and slammed into a bridge support.They said the tow truck driver was ejected and died at the scene. The driver of the stopped vehicle has been taken to a hospital as a precaution. Part of the highway was closed while investigators searched for clues to the cause of the crash.
